Choirs
SCCS serves as an umbrella organization for three ongoing choirs, and for a festive holiday ensemble,
as well as sponsoring choral collaborations with the Santa Rosa Symphony and periodic international concert tours. Click below on a choir's name for further information, auditions, concerts, files and slideshows pertaining to that group.
| SSU Chamber Singers | The Sonoma State University Chamber Singers (Music 323) is an ensemble of 20-25 singers dedicated to the performance of Medieval, Renaissance, early Baroque and contemporary music.
In fall 2009, the group is performing an all-Monteverdi concert, featuring madrigals, canzonette and scherzi from his earliest publication through his latest. In the spring of 2010, the group is performing in several productions which are part of our May Bach Festival. At the end of the spring season, along with the Bach Choir, we'll be going on a concert tour in the Puget Sound area, visiting Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver.

| Sonoma County Bach Choir | The Sonoma County Bach Choir (Music 324) is a group of 50-60 singers specializing in the music of the Baroque period, with special emphasis on Johann Sebastian Bach.
In fall 2009, the Bach Choir is performing in two separate Santa Rosa Symphony productions, featuring music of Mozart (Requiem, Masonic Cantata and Ave Verum Corpus), Beethoven (Ninth Symphony) and Stravinsky (Symphony of Psalms). In the spring of 2010, the group is performing in several productions which are part of our May Bach Festival. At the end of the spring season, along with the Chamber Singers, we'll be going on a concert tour in the Puget Sound area, visiting Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver.

| SSU Chorus | The Sonoma State University Chorus is an ensemble of 75-100 singers which performs a broad range of repertoire,
including choral-orchestral pieces, a cappella music of all periods,
and special thematic projects. |
| Holiday Singers | The Holiday Singers is a group of varying size which provides festive musical entertainment during the Winter holiday season. Members are drawn from the Sonoma County Bach Choir and the SSU Chamber Singers. |
